Tom Ford and Makeup Looks

I have
already spoken about Tom Ford's model choices and I think it's about time to start looking more in depth about the look he gives them. It is classical and sexy, dangerous and obviously provocative.

''n. pl.  femmes fa·tales (fÄ•m′ fÉ™-tăl′, -tălz′, -täl′, -tälz′, făm′)
An alluring and seductive woman, especially one who leads men into
 compromising and dangerous situations.

[French : femmewoman + fataledeadly.] ''

TOM FORD LAUNCHED TOM FORD BEAUTY IN 2006 WITH THE DARING FRAGRANCE, BLACK ORCHID. SIX MONTHS LATER, HE PRESENTED HIS UBER-LUXE PRIVATE BLEND COLLECTION TO BRING UNCONVENTIONAL SCENTS TO THE TRUE FRAGRANCE CONNOISSEUR. TODAY THERE ARE SIX SIGNATURE FRAGRANCES FOR WOMEN AND MEN AND PRIVATE BLEND CONTINUES TO INSPIRE AND DEFINE LUXURY FRAGRANCE WITH NEW SCENTS INCLUDING THE JARDIN NOIR COLLECTION. TOM FORD’S FIRST FORAY INTO COLOUR CAME WITH THE PRIVATE BLEND LIP COLOR COLLECTION IN 2010 WHICH SURPASSED ALL SALES EXPECTATIONS GLOBALLY. TODAY HIS COMPLETE COLLECTION OF SKIN TREATMENTS, MAKEUP AND RAVISHING COLOR WILL HELP ANY WOMAN ACHIEVE POTENT, MODERN GLAMOUR, IN THE WAY THAT BEST EXPRESSES HER UNIQUE LOOK AND MOOD.

Red Juicy Lips, dark eye make-up, models looking like nothing but trouble. The make-up is always very precise. No matter what shade of red is used the lips are always glossy and really  well outlined. That look is mostly seen in Tom Ford's campaigns and adverts.

"There’s nothing stronger and more powerful than a beautiful woman. I don’t think expressing what nature intended you to be is anything but powerful. My women are not sitting there waiting for someone, they’re taking charge. Doesn’t matter whether they’re naked – they’re powerful, they’re smart, and you’re not going to get them if they don’t want you.”  - Tom Ford

'Ford has always believed in color in his clothing. His makeup range contains every shade the Tom Ford woman needs for her face: sexy nudes, glamour reds, moody plums, midnight blues, and titanium blacks for night.'' - (Sykes, 2011)

Tom Ford makes a very interesting point about his makeup line. It is not makeup you can put on the go he says. His description of the makeup gives us an idea of something extra special. He makes it sound like its more than what we actualy consider makeup to be today. It is connected to his first memories of his mother putting her make-up on and gives his procuts a santiment that you wouldn't expect. I find the make-up looks really clean and simple but done to perfection. Skin is flawless and always healthy, nothing too exciting, but with simple you cant go wrong or else you get a ridiculous result.

Tom Ford isn’t about on-the-go makeup. When my box of his new products arrives—mahogany-handled brushes (manufactured by the world’s finest brush factory, in Japan), blushers, powders, kohl pencils, nail colors, lip glosses, and lipsticks—the need for a dressing table is suddenly pressing. I have to spread it out all over my bed just to take it in. “You can’t put this makeup on in the subway or in the car ever,” Ford had told me. “Because if you paint your mouth on slightly crookedly, you no longer have a straight mouth, you have a crooked mouth. Why would you do that?”

Ford is also obsessed with eyebrows and sells products relevant not only to what women need in their kit but what he is a fan of as well. Another fact that I have come across is that plenty of the shoots, mostly the editorial ones Tom Ford has shot himself. I mean, I know Im not going that far, I am don't see myself in ''making fashion'' but I like to think that me and him are alike for the fact that we like producing something beautiful and then capture it ourselfs.
